Todd Mead's Story

"Living to Die"

This project was bittersweet to create in every possible sense. Todd was my best friend's dad, and actually one of the best men I've grown to know since I was 11. In 2021, he was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, and in 2024 he passed away, Over the in-between period, he wrote extensively in his blog about his life and coming to terms with the knowledge that he was going to die. I was fortunate enough to sit with Todd 6 months before he passed and hear him tell his story. Hear him process his upcoming death. Hear him speak with peace, joy, and anticipation of the new creation. I'm so grateful for the hours of sitting with Todd and the many more hours pouring over this footage, praying to do tell his story well.
